Rover Exotics Rescue LLC
This Pet Fostering Disclaimer applies to all individuals or businesses, referred to as Participants, who place exotic animals into the foster care program of Rover Exotics Rescue LLC, as well as the foster volunteers who provide temporary care for these animals. Rover Exotics Rescue LLC, based in [state] at [address], facilitates the rescue, fostering, and rehoming of exotic animals but does not provide food, veterinary care, or related expenses for animals in its foster program. The Rescue’s role is limited to matching animals with trained foster volunteers, coordinating communication between Participants and fosters, and arranging adoptions for permanently surrendered animals.
Participants, whether individual clients or businesses like pet stores or breeders, are fully responsible for supplying sufficient species-appropriate food for the entire foster period or arranging its delivery to the foster volunteer, covering all veterinary expenses including routine care and emergencies, and providing initial enclosures, bedding, or other necessary equipment unless otherwise agreed with the foster. Participants must also disclose any known health, behavioral, or legal issues about the animal at intake. Foster volunteers, acting independently and not as employees or agents of the Rescue, provide daily care and housing using the resources supplied by Participants.
Rover Exotics Rescue LLC is not liable for the health, injury, illness, escape, or death of fostered animals unless directly caused by the Rescue’s gross negligence or willful misconduct, nor is it responsible for damages, injuries, or losses caused by the animals to fosters, Participants, or third parties. The Rescue does not cover costs incurred by fosters and is not liable for pre-existing or undisclosed conditions that arise during fostering. All parties must comply with federal, state, and local laws, including [state] animal welfare and exotic pet regulations, and the Rescue bears no responsibility for legal violations by Participants or fosters.
No warranties are made about the condition, behavior, or adoptability of fostered animals, and they are accepted "as is" at the risk of Participants and fosters. Participants and fosters agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rover Exotics Rescue LLC, its officers, volunteers, and affiliates from claims or damages arising from inaccurate disclosures, failure to provide required support, or actions during fostering. The Rescue may terminate any foster arrangement immediately if Participants fail to provide food, veterinary care, or supplies, if the animal’s welfare is at risk, or if legal issues arise, with the option to return the animal to the Participant or seek alternative placement.
